Terms and Conditions

Puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase.

Health Guarantee

The Seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health at the time of purchase and is in effect for a period of one (1) year from purchase date. This includes the following:

  • The puppy is free from infectious diseases and life-threatening congenital defects known to the Seller.
  • The puppy has been dewormed and has received at least its first round of vaccinations.
  • A health record, documenting deworming and vaccinations, will be provided to the Buyer.

Veterinary Examination Requirement

The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase. Failure to complete this examination will void this health guarantee. Buyer must email a copy of the vet visit record to info@nolayorkies.com

If the veterinarian finds the puppy has a life-threatening congenital defect including severe hip dyspepsia, kidney, heart, pancreas, spinal, and liver problems (must be severe life threatening in nature):

  • The Buyer must notify the Seller immediately.
  • The puppy must be returned to the Seller with a written statement from the veterinarian.
  • Upon confirmation, the Seller will provide a replacement puppy of equal value.

Note: If the puppy was shipped, the Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs to return the puppy.

Exclusions from Health Guarantee

The Seller does not cover or guarantee the following conditions:

 

***The guarantee applies only to the puppy’s health at the time of sale and does not extend to accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur after the puppy leaves the Seller’s care.***

  • Infectious diseases after the puppy leaves the Seller’s care; including Parvo, parasites, fungi, etc. as exposure is beyond the Seller’s control.
  • Stress-related illnesses, such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea, or constipation, which are common when transitioning to a new home.
  • Conditions like Coccidia, Giardia, and hypoglycemia, as these are treatable and not life-threatening.
  • The following non-life-threatening conditions: uneven bites, undescended testicles, hernias, luxating patella (loose knees), open fontanel (soft spot), or tracheal issues.

Buyer Responsibilities

The Buyer assumes full responsibility for:

  • All care, maintenance, and veterinary expenses incurred after the purchase.
  • Ensuring the puppy is not placed on the ground outside until fully vaccinated at 15-16 weeks of age. Failure to adhere to this will void the health guarantee.
  • Proper care including but not limited to: regular veterinary check-ups, proper nutrition, exercise, and socialization.
  • Routine preventive care with documentation for: annual physical checkup exam, deworming, heart worm/flea preventatives & vaccines, proper housing (including heat & air conditioning), and veterinarian care as needed

Replacement Policy

The health guarantee is limited to replacement only. No cash refunds will be provided under any circumstances. Should the Buyer decide not to keep the puppy, the Seller will assist in finding the puppy a new home but will not accept its return nor issue a refund.

Additional Notes on Puppy Care

To minimize stress-related health issues, the Buyer should:

  • Feed the puppy the same food used by the Seller.
  • Provide bottled water if using well water.
  • Gradually introduce the puppy to its new environment, limiting interaction with strangers, children, and other animals initially.
